The 90’s inspired alternative rock artist Dan Cooney New York is back for his third EP!
LOVE ME FOR WHO I COULD BE was released September 20th. The collection of songs, showcases his evolution as a musician and songwriter while blending inspirations into something uniquely his own.
His sound features raw rock with four powerful tracks on the EP with a similar theme but individual stories. The songs are THIS FEELING, WHO I COULD BE, NEXT SPRING and LET GO. They each express genuine emotions and honest, emotion-driven songs with a goal of people to find meaning in.

He started releasing solo music in 2019 when he was a senior in high school. He has clearly come a long way combining multiple different genres and styles that inspire him. Since 2019, Dan Cooney has released three different EPs. “The growth and memories have both been amazing.”
“Ultimately i just wrote about my experiences and feelings that I’ve felt for a while and the result was this project that I’m so proud of. The title actually was inspired by a Richie Culver painting, it resonated with me so much and i think there is proof there within the songwriting.”
The album cover features his friend Sarah Pezzotti who runs the photoshoot page @TheMoodFits on instagram. He was on the first two cover arts for his first two EPs and had a different vision this time around.
Earlier this year, he has played local shows on Long Island as well as Pennsylvania dates. He is so excited to be ending 2025 with a New Jersey show. It will be his first time performing there and more will be announced soon!
