ListenUp! Halloween Thriller Fright Fest

A ListenUp! festival on Long Island is the ultimate spot to discover great original music and talent and this Halloween, they proved it once again!

They had an incredible turnout for the Halloween Thriller Fright Fest making this their biggest and most successful event yet. Support from dozens of local artists, musicians and sponsors filled the room with community spirit with tons of familiar Long Island faces, making it feel like one big creative family.

The event took place at Stereo Garden in Patchogue, NY, and ran from 5 PM until midnight, a full evening packed with live music and Halloween festivities! Ranging from heavy metal to pop, they each represented their own unique sound making every performance a different experience from the next.

Throughout the venue, there were tables for shopping full of different unique local vendors selling Halloween inspired art, trinkets and sculptures. The focus on supporting small businesses and local creatives added an extra layer of community spirit to the night.

The performers included 13 original live musical acts: DJ JOKR, Melissa Joy, Voicemail, NORY, Lenne Simo, Alexandra Starr, Ryze Hendricks, The Big Happy, Boxrooster, Jules Walcott, The Meatbees, Me + Nobody and Art Deco.

My favorite performances were definitely NORY and Alexandra Starr. Their energy and stage presence was incredible and gave performances that you couldn’t keep your eyes away.

Another highlight was Jules Walcott, who called it her “hometown show.” Originally from Long Island, she reflected on how meaningful it was to return home to perform for a sold-out crowd after overcoming challenges growing up here.

Stereo Garden was the most perfect venue for this event. With so much open space, it was transformed into a Halloween extravaganza that came alive with tons of haunted visuals and immersive exhibits and photo ops. Making it a perfect night out to get into the festive spirit! A costume contest was held as well with a $500 prize courtesy of Soul Brew Coffee.

Guests enjoyed food from Chris Ruben, with the tacos quickly becoming a fan favorite. Spooky themed drinks were flowing at the bar, including free drinks from their biggest sponsor of the event, Surfside.

If you’re an emerging creative in any art form, the ListenUp! community is one you’ll want to be part of. It’s a space where talent, collaboration, and passion come together in unforgettable ways.
