victoria said: I wish everybody knew

Based out of Port Jefferson Long Island, victoria said is a singer, songwriter and performer that shares music inspired by her personal journey, straight from her heart. Including emotions of pain, sadness, happiness and hope, her music covers all aspects of life that people can relate to. As she is currently studying social work, she revolves around the theme of trying to break cycles and continuously step into a healthier version of herself. Regardless of her reasons for writing music, she wants to find people that resonate with her messages. I don’t necessarily want it to be some kind of autobiography, but instead I want to inspire and reach people that need the message.

She started her solo project victoria said, in 2023 as a way to express what words alone couldn’t. She found music as her own form of therapy to discover her higher self and communicate through whatever she was going through. “I felt like the songs I was creating was everything I wanted to say and more. They’re affirmations. They’re songs about break ups with boyfriends and friends, reminding me to never look back. To hold myself accountable. My project is a way to connect with myself, but even more so to connect with others that resonate with my messages. Life is not easy. I just want my music to reach the people that need it the most.”

With her blend of vulnerability and strength through art, she inspires people musically where people can feel seen, understood and confident. As her music is evolving, it is clear that the project victoria said is not just about music, it’s about a connection.

Her newest single I wish everybody knew, was created with the intention of letting people know they are not alone in whatever happens behind closed doors. This song expresses powerful emotions and “It’s about the urge of wanting to share horror stories from the rooftop. That’s such a powerful feeling and urge, and I believe it’s powerful to speak about this through my music.”

The song features a soft, raw sound that feels both intimate and powerful. Driven by an incredible guitar tone that I love and emotionally charged vocals, it’s a track that lets the lyrics take the spotlight, sharing her ability to make her vulnerability beautiful, this is a song that you feel inside you.

She is excited to announce she is currently working on her next EP soon and her single, I wish everybody knew will be apart of it.

The cover art for the single was created by Sarah Girard, a local artist Victoria met at an art gallery in New York City. Drawn to the dreamy way Sarah painted skies and clouds, Victoria reached out to collaborate on the artwork for her release. The design reflects swirls which is one of Victoria’s favorite artistic symbols which, to her, represents the ever-turning cycles of life and growth.

You can stream “I wish everybody knew” on all platforms and keep up with Victoria’s journey on Instagram at @idkkvic.
