One of Long Island’s best and most reputable alternative rock band, The Meatbees has just released a new single titled “Time Cannot Be Borrowed” on March 20th. The band features members Kenny, Benji, Alex and Anthony who are regularly playing shows and all very involved with the Long Island Music Scene. They take inspiration from artists across various genres such as grunge, hard rock, classic rock and metal. Since starting the band 2023, they have played over 100 shows and quickly gained over 20,000 streams. They have gained a reputation for their high energy and unforgettable live performances.

The new song “Time Cannot Be Borrowed,” represents a new chapter in their story as it brings a much softer side to their raw sound. Lead singer Kenny said, “the song is a lot more melodic and soft compared to our usual alternative sound.”

When asked what the story behind the song was, Kenny said “this song was written in a time of my life when I was searching for answers in many ways. My relationship was failing and my career path was unclear and this is when I started turning to a higher power for help.” He wants people to know, “that it’s ok to not have all the answers in life, and to seek help when it’s needed.”

To help celebrate the release of the song, they had a release party with sets from Cannonfodder, Ramener and Soft Spot at The Dizzy Den.
