Alive After Five in Patchogue turns Main Street into a lively street festival full of live music, local businesses, games and great food and drinks. This is one of Long Island’s biggest and most popular local event with an estimated 100,000 people attending per season. This is definitely my favorite Long Island summer festival because it offers everything you could want.
Each night there are different themes of what type of local music will be played across 6 different stages.
June 26 – Country: Downtown Nashville
July 10 – Emo Night
July 31 – Disco Night (currently cancelled; rain date: August 21)
August 14 – Jam Bands Vibes
Main Street closes from West Avenue to Maple Avenue and parking is limited. If you don’t get there early, I suggest taking the free shuttle that runs from St. Joseph’s University.
Local restaurants offer an outdoor dining experience and tents outside featuring signature food and drinks. There are over 120 vendor booths to showcase crafts, jewelry, fashion and more. The event is very family friendly as well offering much for children such as face painting, games and a designated kids area.
Alive After Five strongly displays community spirit with Long Island’s best local businesses, restaurants and bands. Each event, everyone comes together and it’s great to see all the same people! It is a summer event you don’t want to miss!
